Dr. Colleen Countryman is a Teaching Assistant Professor of Physics at North Carolina State University. In addition to teaching and coordinating the introductory calculus-based physics courses (PY 205 and PY 208), she also engages in Physics Education Research. Dr. Countryman specializes in the assessment of educational technologies, such as smartphones in physics labs.
She earned her BS in Physics and BA in Mathematics from Canisius College. She went on to obtain her MS in Applied Mathematics from Virginia Tech in August 2010, and completed her PhD in physics at North Carolina State University in May 2015.
